How to use Dala Fuse Beads

Ensure your pegboard is on a flat. heat-safe surface. Start by placing the fuse beads on the pegboard in the design of your choice. Place a folded piece of parchment- or wax-paper onto the design, ensuring there is a non-stick surface for both the beads and the iron. Then, set your iron to a medium setting, at about 200°C, and hold the iron on the design for about 10-20 seconds. Importantly, do not push down on the design with the iron, as this will squash the pattern. Once you have allowed the design to cool, remove the paper and the design from the board. If the design is not coming off easily, or it is not sticking together, use the iron again in a circular motion for another 10-20 seconds.

When ironed properly, the beads will fuse together and still have an open centre. If the parchment/wax paper sticks to the design, you can rinse it under water and gently rub it to remove it.
