Dala Heat Resistant Varnish

The Dala Heat Resistant Varnish is a water-based top coat varnish. This Deco Varnish will heat-proof the item you have coated, as well as seal it.

This Dala Heat Resistant Varnish has a matte finish and it also dries clear. You can use this water-based varnish to seal any items that will come into contact with heat. This is the ideal product for decoupage project items such as trays, coasters, pot stands, and even more! Not only does this product make your art heat-proof, but it also seals and protects it.

How to use Dala Deco Heat Resistant Varnish

Firstly, apply a thin even layer of the water-based, matte varnish onto the item using a soft brush. If you are applying a second coat, apply it at a 90° angle to the first coat. You can also use this as a top coat over crackle effects, however, it should be 50% diluted with water. Lastly, allow the varnish to dry and cure for at least 48 hours before you apply any heat to it.

You can clean the brushes, any spills, and messes with warm soapy water while it is still wet.
